How It Works
From choosing a named supervising dentist to your first day observing, here is exactly what to expect, written for dentists building a UK career.
Register
Create your account to access the portal and see practices across our UK network with their supervising dentists, specialties, and available dates.
- Quick registration with your basic details
- Instant access to your applicant portal
- Browse practices and named supervising dentists UK-wide
Choose a practice & apply
Pick the practice and supervising dentist that fit your goals, by specialty, location, and dates, and apply directly from the portal. The only document you need to apply is your CV, the practice reviews your background from that.
- Match to a supervising dentist by specialty and location
- Apply directly from the practice listing
- Your CV is the only document needed to apply
Approval & deposit
When the practice approves your application, a 25% deposit reserves your place. The clinical elective fee is from £500 per week, depending on the practice's location.
- Secure card or bank payment through the portal
- Your place is held once the deposit clears, pending eligibility checks
Submit your documents
There is nothing else to prepare up front. Once your place is reserved, you submit a standard bundle through the portal at your own pace, with deadlines and guidance from us at every step: proof of your dental qualification (or an enrolment letter if you are a final-year student), English-language evidence, passport, police clearance, and immunisation records (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and TB screening). Some practices ask for their own forms, which we route to you directly.
- Upload documents directly through your portal
- Track your approval status in one place
- Guidance from us at every stage
Start your clinical elective
Once the balance is paid and the practice has approved your documents, you begin. Your supervising dentist welcomes you on day one, sets out how the practice runs, and you start working alongside the clinical team.

Are there any hidden fees?
No. The weekly fee covers everything listed above. Your own costs, flights, accommodation, visa, living expenses, insurance, are separate, but there are no hidden charges from us.
Can I extend my clinical elective?
Yes. Additional weeks can be arranged with your supervising dentist subject to availability, at the same weekly rate.
I'm a dentist or dental student, is this for me?
Yes. Most people in our network are qualified dentists building UK clinical exposure ahead of the ORE or LDS Part 2 and UK job applications. Final-year dental students are welcome too. Its value is seeing UK assessment, consent, and treatment planning first-hand, and a credible UK reference for your applications.
